Jukebox idol April Boy Regino has passed away. He was 51.
The news was confirmed by his brother, Vingo, through a Facebook post. “Nakakalungkot naman ang araw na ito… wala na ang kuya April Boy ko…,” Vingo said in his post.
The comment section was immediately filled with condolences messages from netizens.
The celebrity is known for his hits likes “Paano Ang Puso Ko,” “Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin,” Umiiyak Ang Puso,” “Tanging Hiling,” Ye Ye Vonnel,” and “Kahit Kaibigan Lang.”
In February 2009, April Boy was diagnosed with prostate cancer and diabetes. In 2015, he was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy which caused him to lose his sight in his left eye.
April Boy is survived by his wife Madel, son JC; and brothers Vingo and Jimmy.
