Calasiao, Pangasinan was selected as host of the PBA All-Star Week as the league decided to revert back to the old format of staging the event in a single city or municipality.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said the summer extravaganza will be held in late-March, with Calasiao winning the bid due to its familiarity hosting out-of-town games on an annual basis.
Event promoter Vijay Vasandani has been bringing PBA games each conference in the municipality since the Calasiao Sports Complex was completed in 2017.
The announcement officially scraps the setup of the three-leg All-Star series, a practice that was done in the past two seasons.
Cagayan de Oro, Lucena and Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu shared the hosting of the 2017 All-Star Week before Digos, Davao del Sur, Batangas City, and Iloilo brought the festivities last season.
Marcial had earlier said that having one city hosting the event would enable the league to maximize the staging of activities prior to the centerpiece All-Star Game.
