THE Army’s 10th Infantry Division appealed to parents to guard their children especially on activities they participate in to prevent them from being victimized by the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA).

Captain Jerry S. Lamosan, the Chief Division Public Affairs Office of the 10th ID base in Mawab, Compostela Valley, made the remark amid a military report that students are being recruited by the communist.

Lamosan said all students in schools are actually target for recruitment.

“It is the youth sector that CNTs or Communist New People’s Army Terrorist thrive to have pool of recruits and it can be seen in their statements through social media and other platform that the youth is the most potent force to reckon with given their idealism and active participation in school activities,” Lamosan said.
