LAS VEGAS – Making sure he gets solid crowd support, Manny Pacquiao bought $1-million worth of tickets for his shot at Jessie Vargas’ world welterweight crown Saturday night.

Telling TMZ Sports, Pacquiao said the tickets will be distributed among family and friends and supporters, a move that is not entirely news as he had done so many times before.

In the past, Pacquiao shelled out more than what he coughed out for this fight and even went to the extent of chartering a jumbo jet so he can tag along not only members of his family and friends to Dallas in 2010.

Vargas is a hometown bet and it is certain that he will bring a boisterous crowd at the 19,500-seat Thomas and Mack Center.

The amount that Pacquiao paid for the tickets numbered about 2,000 with those very dear to him getting the priciest ones ($1,000) and below the pecking order snatching the lower priced variants that could go down to as low as $50. (Nick Giongco)
