Reports from the posh night club said that Matos acted as the aggressor in the fight although Geisler tried to impress ringside judges by showing glimpses of his ground skills, much to the dismay of the audience.
In the end, judges scored the bout 19-19 even as Geisler and Matos were visibly gasping for air. It appeared at first that URCC officials would answer to the clamor of the crowd by adding another round just to settle the score before deciding to end the fight in a stalemate.
“Are you entertained?” Geisler told the audience, prompting many to shout, “No!”
The bout was an anticlimactic end to their bitter feud that began when Geisler and Matos figured in a brawl at a bar last month. The two challenged each other to a fight, with Geisler saying: “Mahal kita pero bibigwasan kita.” (JT)
