Lea Salonga

Kinuwento ni Lea ang hangad niya noong mag-audition for the role of Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady” on Broadway noong magtapos na ang run ng “Miss Saigon.”

“That time I was told I couldn’t be seen for ‘My Fair Lady’ because I was Asian. And I already won my Tony.#MyYellowFaceStory” tweet pa ni Lea.

Pinatunayan niyang ang talento ng isang tao goes beyond his or her race.

Pagkatapos niyang manalo ng ilang theater awards including the Tony Awards for best actress in a musical for “Miss Saigon” in 1991, lumabas si Lea bilang si Eponine sa “Les Miserables” on Broadway in 1993.
