An elderly man sustained a serious head injury after falling during a bag‑snatching incident along Ramon Magsaysay Avenue in Sta. Mesa, Manila, on Monday night, Aug. 10.
Initial reports said the victim hit his head when he fell as his bag was being snatched, prompting an immediate response from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).
Emergency responders administered first aid before rushing him to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
Police have been informed of the incident and are conducting an investigation, though details on the victim’s condition and the identity of the suspect remain unavailable.
