THE world never runs out of stories featuring heroic dogs. Not only are dogs man’s best friend, you can also count on them in life and death situations.

Here’s one more story on how a pet dog showed his loyalty and devotion to his human family, reporting to them through sheer body language.

News site Buzzfeed reported that early this year, a babysitter was arrested for child abuse, thanks to their loyal family dog.

The babysitter had been working for the family for five months when Killian, their normally friendly dog, became volatile around the nanny.

The situation roused the parents’ suspicions. They devised a way to monitor movements around the house. They decided to leave an iPhone under their couch to record what was happening when the baby is left alone with the helper.

The device confirmed their suspicions. The woman had been verbally and physically abusing their child.

Thanks to the heroic dog, the baby is back in safe hands (and paws).
