2 dead, 3 injured in Rizal helicopter crash

A helicopter carrying five passengers, including two foreigners, crashed on a grass field in Barangay Quisao, Pililla, Rizal, on Tuesday morning, March 3, killing two people and injuring three others.

Pililla Mayor John Masinsin reported that the incident occurred at around 7:20 a.m., with first responders arriving on site about 20 minutes later.

One of the fatalities was declared dead at the scene, while the other was pronounced dead upon arrival at Rizal Provincial Hospital in Morong.

The three survivors are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Rizal Police Provincial Director Col. Eleazer Barber Jr. confirmed that an investigation is underway.

He said authorities are coordinating with relevant agencies to determine the cause of the crash and ensure public safety.

“Magbibigay po tayo ng karagdagang impormasyon sa sandaling maging available ang opisyal na resulta ng imbestigasyon, ” Barber added. (Patrick Garcia)
