Perpetual Help strengthened its hold of the Group A top seed with a dominant 25-20, 28-26, 25-18 sweep of San Sebastian in the NCAA Season 101 women’s volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex on Sunday, Feb. 1.
Jemalyn Menor led the assault for the Lady Altas with 13 points in the sweet sweep while Shai Omipon and Cyrille Almeniana also scored 12 and 10 markers, respectively, to push Perpetual Help to a 3-0 record.
Katherine Santos’ 13 points were flushed down the drain as the Lady Stags tripped to its second straight loss and a 1-3 card.
In the men’s division, Perpetual essayed a 25-16, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21 victory over San Sebastian for its first win in the season.
Khian Andres led the charge for Perpetual with 17 points while Marc Tangon and Jester Bornel contributed 15 points apiece. The Altas are finally on the win column after dropping their first two games.
Kyle Villamor paced San Sebastian with 17 points while Ellemar Dullete chipped in 11 for the Stags who are now 2-2 in the standings.
