University of Perpetual tries to keep its title retention bid alive when it battles twice-to-beat holder Letran as the two hopefuls kickstart their quarterfinals clash in the NCAA Season 101 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Centre in San Juan City Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Knowing a defeat could end their two-peat bid, the Junior Altas are expected to pull all the stops in their 5 p.m. duel to force a decider.

Opening the juniors action is the battle between the Arellano Braves, who carry a quarters incentive, and La Salle Greenhills at 9:30 a.m.

A win for Perpetual would force a rubbermatch but if Letran prevails it faces either Emilio Aguinaldo College or San Sebastian in the semifinals.

Lance Nitura is determined to spearhead the attack for the Joph Cleopas-guided crew along with Louie Rosales, Jim Corpuz, Ezekiel Zamoras, Kurt Velasquez, Hanz Llupar, Jowitski Ignacio, Renzo Zanoria, Lord Dulanas, Jude Binagatan and Kurt Patalinghug.

The Junior Altas were also seeking to replicate their 70-68 elimination triumph over the Squires last Oct. 14.
