University of Perpetual Help seeks to regain its composure when it faces Lyceum in its last elimination round game in the NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Center in San Juan City on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Match is at 12 noon before the San Beda-Letra clash set at 2:30 p.m.

Despite already securing a twice-to-beat advantage with an 8-4 win-loss record, Perpetual remains hell-bent on ending their three-game losing skid and returning to its winning ways.

The Altas won eight of their first nine games — their best start in two decades — before suddenly losing their touch with losses to San Sebastian, defending champion Mapua and Arellano.

“Kailangan namin manalo at ma-overcome namin yung mga talo namin sa previous games para mataas ang moral namin pagpasok sa next round (quarterfinals)” Perpetual’s top gun Mark Gojo Cruz said.

Perpetual, Arellano, San Beda and College of St. Benilde are already assured of a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals, while Lyceum, San Sebastian, Jose Rizal University and Emilio Aguinaldo University play off sudden death in the Play-in match on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
