Malacañang has taken as hands-off stance on calls to investigate Vice President Sara Duterte over the alleged misuse of confidential and intelligence funds.
“It’s in the hands of the Office of the Ombudsman,” said Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Tuesday, Oct. 21, when asked for comment on the issue.
Castro’s statement came a day after the Akbayan Party and Tindig Pilipinas submitted a letter to the Ombudsman, urging it to take swift action on Duterte’s purported misuse of confidential and intelligence funds and alleged abuse of power. (Betheena Unite)
