Following a close loss to undefeated University Perpetual Help over the weekend, Arellano University got its bearings back on Tuesday at San Juan Arena in the NCAA Season 100 men’s basketball tournament.
The Chiefs dealt the Pirates a 92-65 beatdown for their second win of the tournament, much to the delight of coach Chico Manabat.
Renzo Abiera showed just how much heart the Chiefs have with 16 points and six rebounds.
T-Mc Ongotan, who wasn’t necessarily the tallest guy on the floor, registered a double-double in the Arellano win with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Pirates continued to remain winless in the tournament after four games but John Barba still impressed with an 18-point outing that went with eight rebounds.
