Actress Yen Santos’ life continues to read like a teleserye—one the public just can’t stop watching.

For the longest time, Yen has been rumored to having given birth to former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson’s son.

In her July 23 YouTube channel debut, Yen finally addressed the issue, noting that the young boy she had been pictured with several times in the past is not her child but rather, her youngest brother.

So what exactly is her relationship with the veteran politician?

She explained, “He [Chavit] is a good family friend. He’s actually my brother’s godfather.”

As to the clarification coming several years late, she said simply that it is not her habit to correct wrong impressions about her.

But Yen admitted she was once hurt by the rumor, especially since her younger brother got dragged into it.

“Maybe we should do a vlog with Manong Chavit,” she joked. “So he can clear it up himself.”

Chavit himself is yet to comment on the issue—no confirmation, no denial.

In the same vlog, Yen also discussed her last failed relationship.

Fans didn’t need a detective. All signs point to actor Paolo Contis—Yen’s former onscreen partner in “A Faraway Land.”

She said, “It was a nightmare. A blessing that it ended. I walked away. It wasn’t worth it.”

“The man I met in the beginning wasn’t the man I ended up with,” Yen added. “He did everything to win me over… then the mask came off.”

As to those hurt by her decision then, she said simply: I’m sorry.”
