The Philippine national women’s football team dominated host Cambodia, 6-0, to strengthen its bid of earning a spot in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asia Cup during the Qualifiers at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Wednesday night, July 2.

Meryll Serrano starred with a brace, leading the Filipinas to their second consecutive win after a 3–0 triumph over Saudi Arabia to remain on top of the leaderboard of Group G with six points.

Alex Pino opened the scoring in the 18th minute,quickly followed by Serrano, who struck in the 19th and again in the 36th minute to complete her double.

Fil-American Sofia Wunsch added to the onslaught with a goal in the 40th minute, giving the Filipinas a dominant 4–0 advantage heading into halftime.

The second half saw no let-up, as veteran defender Hali Long found the back of the net in the 48th minute, while Chandler McDaniel capped the scoring with a goal in the 56th minute.

The Filipinas try to cap off their campaign on Saturday, July 5, against second-running Hong Kong, which has four points on one win and one draw.
