ZAMBOANGA CITY – A coordinated anti-illegal drugs operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9 and the Zamboanga City Police led to the arrest of a “habal-habal” driver and confiscation of P20.4 million worth of shabu here on Sunday, June 29.
Suspect Nelson H. Lamon, 41, marked as a high-value drug target, was nabbed allegedly after selling three kilos of shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Zone 4 at 12:15 a.m.
Recovered from Lamon were three ziplock bags containing the contraband.
Lamon is in the custody of the Zamboanga City Police Office Station 11 while the illegal drug was turned over to the Special Operations Unit-9 for disposition.
The suspect is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Liza Jocson)
