Solar Strikers hold powerhouse Kaya FC-Iloilo to 1-1 draw

Capital1 continued to impress as it held powerhouse Kaya FC-Iloilo to a 1-1 draw in the PFF Women’s League Saturday night at the Mall of Asia Football Field in Pasay City.

The Solar Strikers opened the scoring after a goalless 90-minute clash courtesy of Regine Rebosura and were poised to pull off a monumental upset.

But Kaya showed resiliency in the end and Joyce Onrubia managed to produce a late goal that halted Capital1’s amazing run,

Both teams slightly hiked their output to 19 points although Kaya enjoys a superior goal difference over Capital1.

Meantime, goalkeeper Liv McDaniel scored in the 75th minute screamer, powering  Stallion Laguna FC to a a 1-0 win over a gritty Makati FC side.

The national team standout scored on a beautiful set piece delivery that broke the goalless stalemate.

Stallion remained on top of the league table with 22 points, three clear of Kaya and the Solar Strikers.

The race for the championship remains too close to call, as Kaya still has two matches in hand, while Stallion and Capital1 have one game left in the league.
