If there’s one thing we know about Jayda Avanzado, it’s that she was born ready for the spotlight.

With a powerhouse pedigree and a résumé that would make any Gen Z artist envious, the young singer-actress is officially entering a bold new era — and she’s doing it in style.

Jayda is stepping into a new chapter of her already impressive career—this time with the backing of some serious industry heavyweights.

The singer-actress has officially joined the Viva family, signing a publishing and recording deal with Viva Records in collaboration with Universal Music Group (UMG) Philippines.

She’s also secured a co-management contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA), opening doors to more film, TV, and brand opportunities.

“I’m so grateful for this opportunity. Viva is recognized as among the more accomplished companies in the country and I’m so happy to be part of the family,” Jayda shared.

Talent runs in Jayda’s blood. She’s the daughter of OPM icons Dingdong Avanzado, the “Original Prince of Pop,” and Jessa Zaragoza, the “Phenomenal Diva.”

But make no mistake—Jayda’s career stands on its own legs.

“Both are very supportive of my dreams,” she said. “They’re both ready and willing to guide me but at the same time allow me to decide for myself.”

Jayda launched her music career in 2017 and released her debut EP “In My Room” the following year. Since then, she’s built solid momentum—becoming a regular on “ASAP,” headlining her own digital solo concert (“Jayda in Concert”), and taking on her first acting role in the youth drama “Teen Clash.”

Note, the show’s main soundtrack, “No Way But Up,” was also hers.

She’s also had her hand in songwriting, co-writing “Right Lover, Wrong Time” with her father. It’s a family affair—with a professional finish.

Jayda’s hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. She bagged Best Female Recording Artist at the 32nd Awit Awards and was named Female Pop Artist of the Year at the 13th PMPC Star Awards for Music in 2022, thanks to her hit “Sana Tayo Na.”

Now, with new deals and a broader platform, Jayda is looking to expand her reach further—both as a musician and an actress.

“I’d like to combine both singing and acting. Singing is my first love but I would really like to take on more acting projects in the future. Hopefully, I’d get to do rom-coms,” she said.

Viva big boss, Vic del Rosario is happy with Jayda joining their roster of talents.

“I look at Jayda and I see a multi-media star,” he said. “We aim to nurture her career by providing her the best projects that suit her.”

Obviously, Jayda isn’t just joining the game—she’s here to play it well.

And with Boss Vic’s pronouncement, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing—and hearing—a lot more from her soon.
