A 16-year-old girl was caught in possession of more than P1 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation launched by the Eastern Police District (EPD) in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on May 21.
The girl, identified as alias “Indang,” was a newly tagged high value target for illegal drugs, the EPD said.
Based on the police report, a police poseur-buyer was able to purchase P1,000 worth of shabu from the suspect after days of surveillance.
The officers recovered from Indang 208.2 grams of shabu worth P1,415,760.
She was placed under the custody of the Social Welfare and Development of Pasig City. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared against her.
Gen. Aden Lagradante said.
The EPD is intensifying its operations, particularly in areas that may be targeted by drug syndicates.
“We will further intensify our law enforcement operations and strategies with the aim of curbing illegal drugs and raising the awareness of the people on its harmful effects on our society,” he added. (Patrick Garcia)
