Sue Ramirez is quite happy to have been able to work again with actor Diego Loyzaga in the upcoming film “In Between.”
Note the two last worked together three years ago via “How to Love Mr. Heartless.”
Said Sue, “It was really nice to catch up with Diego. Medyo matagal na rin ‘yung huli naming project together and a lot have happened since sa aming mga personal na buhay.”
The two have known each other for so long having entered show business almost the same time.
“That is why we’re quite comfortable with each other,” said Diego.
The familiarity helped a lot particularly when doing more intimate scenes for “In Between.”
“Wala kaming ilangan at all,” Sue related. “And it shows.”
Directed by Gino M. Santos, “In Between,” as produced by Viva Films, follows Gaila (Sue) a carefree and adventurous woman who is into anything and everything but is cynical when it comes to love.
She will then meet Shane (Diego) a brokenhearted bartender who has acquired the habit of comparing women to different kinds of alcohol.
On their first meeting, Shane likens Gaila to beer, a drink he never liked. This changes when they meet for the second time and get to have a real conversation.
They would soon discover that they complement each other despite their differences, going on to agree to become each other’s “in-between” – someone they can turn to any time, all the time before they end up with “The One”.
Connected, but not committed, Shane and Gaila find the set-up convenient.
Where will it lead though?
“It’s a cute boy-meets-girl story na very relevant today,” said Sue. “I think the film is not just entertaining, it is also quite the eye-opener. Ako, personally, I gleamed a lot working on the film.”
“In Between” opens in cinemas May 7.
