Film director Darryl Yap appears to have found himself on the receiving end of a lecture from Metropolitan Manila Development Authority General Manager Nicolas Torre III.

Torre called out Yap after the director cursed at Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro over her remarks about teachers following the recent shooting incident in Tacloban.

“Darryl, bago ang ‘PUT** ** MO,’ comprehension muna. Kung talagang ipinagmamalaki nating guro ang ating mga magulang, mas magandang ipakita nating natuto tayo sa kanila: basahin, intindihin, saka humusga,” Torre said.

Yap, however, was not about to let the comment slide.

In a Facebook post that appeared to be directed at Torre, Yap wrote: “ANONG COMPREHENSION COMPREHENSION! T**G I*A NYO TOGETHER!”

The post has since been deleted after drawing mixed reactions online.

Some netizens sided with Yap, while others criticized his language and called for possible legal action against the director.

The exchange traces back to Castro’s remarks about the Tacloban shooting, when she said there were “some teachers” who teach students to become disrespectful.

Yap took offense, pointing out that both his parents are retired teachers, before directing an expletive at Castro.

Torre later defended the Palace official, emphasizing that Castro had referred specifically to “some teachers,” rather than attacking the teaching profession as a whole.

Interestingly, Yap had already admitted that Viva Films had told him to stop spending so much time on Facebook and concentrate on his first horror movie.

“Pinagalitan na ako ng VIVA FILMS, dapat daw nagpopokus ako sa first horror movie ko, wag na daw ako mag-Facebook. So ayun. Tama na muna!” Yap wrote a day before his apparent response to Torre.

Apparently, “tama na muna” lasted only so long.
