One of the two suspects involved in the robbery of 13 massage therapists—and the sexual assault of two—at a massage parlor in Pasay City has been apprehended by city police operatives in Albay.

The suspect, identified as Jared, a resident of Legazpi City, was arrested following a manhunt operation ordered by Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.

According to the Pasay City Public Information Office (PIO), Jared and an accomplice barged into a massage establishment on Cabrera Street in Barangay 140 on Friday, August 29.

The suspects allegedly raped two of the therapists before fleeing with cash and personal belongings from the victims.

Mayor Rubiano, expressing deep dismay over the incident, directed local authorities to maintain round-the-clock police visibility and expedite efforts to apprehend the perpetrators.

She strongly condemned the attack and pledged full support to the victims, including legal assistance in coordination with law enforcement agencies. (Jean Fernando)
