Regine Velasquez couldn’t help but comment on fake news that her husband, singer Ogie Alcasid, passed away.
Recall that the rumor Ogie was found lifeless inside his car circulated online over the weekend, which he promptly exposed to be false.
On Instagram last July 26, Regine wondered out loud why some people do these things.
“Bakit naman kailangan gumawa ng ganitong balita,” she began. “Alam namin at tangap na namin na parti na ng aming buhay ang pagusapan kami, mahirap pero kasama talaga ito sa trabaho namin…”
The singer pointed out it’s not only the victims of such malicious items who get affected, but their loved ones too.
“May pamilya po kaming maaring magalala kung ito ay mabasa nila,” she said.
“Kaya pakiusap po wag naman.
“To our families and friends this is a fake news Ogie is home safe and healthy.”
Earlier that day, Ogie posted the fake news item on his Instagram account which he captioned: “Pls do not believe this. It is #fakenews.”
