Residents of Dagupan City, Pangasinan and nearby provinces are urged to brace for colder-than-usual temperatures this weekend, January 23–25, as the “amihan” (northeast monsoon) intensifies across Luzon.

Weather authorities forecast temperatures in Northern Luzon dipping to 16°C–20°C, with Pangasinan also expected to feel the chill.

The cooler conditions are likely to persist through the weekend, especially during early mornings and late evenings.

The city government has advised vulnerable groups—including senior citizens, young children, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions—to take extra precautions against cold-related illnesses.

Residents are encouraged to wear warm clothing, keep access to hot meals and drinks, and stay alert for sudden weather updates.

City officials urged communities to check on vulnerable family members and neighbors during the colder days.
