Star Magic’s Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin are heading into the holidays with familiar excitement as they gear up for their second Metro Manila Film Festival appearance.

The pair met with the press recently to share updates on their upcoming film, “Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins,” Regal Film’s entry to the annual festival.

They did so, fresh from winning the Movie Loveteam of the Year trophy at the 41st PMPC Star Awards for Movies for “My Future You,” their MMFF project last year.

Francine recalled their mindset in 2024: “From ‘My Future You’ na wala kami masyadong inexpect. Gusto lang talaga namin noon na ma-appreciate yung ginawa namin… Sabi nga namin last year, audition ulit namin ito sa lahat ng mga tao. Kailangan gagalingan natin.”

This year’s entry, she said, feels different—heavier with legacy, but just as thrilling. “’Shake, Rattle & Roll’ isn’t just a Regal classic. Tingin ko legacy siya ng buong Pilipinas, bawat pamilyang Pinoy. And now, parte na kami ng legacy na ‘yun.”

Following their standout performance in “Sins of the Father”, expectations are high for the duo, whose onscreen chemistry continues to draw consistent support from fans. Their rise has been steady, fortified by a string of projects that showcased both growth and grit.

Seth was quick to acknowledge those who helped them get here. “Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa ABS-CBN, sa Star Magic family, and to Regal Entertainment,” he said. “Sa kabila ng lahat ng pagsubok at problema… hanggang ngayon nandiyan pa rin silang nakasuporta sa amin.”

For a pair whose sincerity has always shone through—on camera and off—it’s shaping up to be another holiday offering made to delight Filipino audiences.
