Alas star Louie Ramirez is among 23 proud student-athlete graduates of Perpetual

Alas Pilipinas Men star Louie Ramirez was one of the 23 student athletes who earned college degrees during the 46th Commencement Exercises of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta on Wednesday, July 9, at the Newport Theater in Pasay City.

Ramirez, who led the Altas Spikers to four NCAA championship highlighted by two MVP plums, capped his fruitful stint at the Las Piñas-based school by securing his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management degree.

Perpetual also bestowed the Dr. Antonio Tamayo Plaque for Sports and Athletics on one of the PH team’s prolific scorers.

“My path to graduation was lighted and built through proper discipline and dedication which I developed through playing volleyball. It’s a journey that led me to this unforgettable destination,” said Ramirez.

Basketball stars Edgar Charcos (BSBA Marketing Management) and Jasper Derek Cuevas (BSBA Marketing Management) were also among 600 students who graduated.

“Sobrang importante sakin po ito na maka graduate kasi hindi naman po forever na athlete po tayo tumatanda din po tayo, kaya need po talaga na makatapos para makahanap din ng work kung pagtapos ng pagiging athlete,” a beaming Charcos said.

Others were volleyball players in libero Marian Tracy Andal, Winnie Bedana of Capital1 (PSL) and Charmaine Mae Ocada.

KC Andrade, JC Enarciso, Renz Angelo Engay and Michael Medalla – teammates of Ramirez – also graduated.

Others were Jessa Alimboyong, Ketelyn Faith Baguio, Mary Joyce Espartero, John Justin Giatag, Donn James Ramos, Benjie Duhac, Jymel Gonzales, Er Yake Mengorig, John Paul Sarmiento, Maria Charmaine Glorioso, Ericka Lie Pascual, Heather Sanguyo, nd Jebgy Villar.
