The Sacramento Kings finally unveiled their NBA Summer League roster for the preseason tournament set in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sadly, there’s no player named Kevin Quiambao on the list.
Among the big names on the Kings’ roster are this year’s draftees Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud who will try to make an impression in the event slated July 10 to 20 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion inside University of Nevada.
Serving as a head tactician for the Kings is Dipesh Mistry who is also the team’s assistant and player development coach. He will sit beside fellow mentors Will Scott, Garrius Adams, Shandon Goldman, Dane Johnson, Lindo Sibankulu, Jason Maxiell, Mate Jakab, and former Gilas and PBA star Jimmy Alapag.
With the outcome, the grind continues for the two-time UAAP MVP as he pursues his NBA dream and become the first full-blooded Filipino player in the big league.
The 24-year-old Quiambao flew to Sacramento last week with hopes of impressing the scouts in the training camps so he could eventually earn a chance to move closer to the NBA.
Despite the odds, the Muntinlupa City native stressed that he will embrace his journey abroad, noting that he has nothing to lose in trying to fulfill his lifelong dream.
