RACHEL Peters is engaged to be married to Miguel Luis “Migz” Villafuerte, governor of Camarines Sur.
The 28-year-old beauty queen made the announcement Sunday via Instagram, posting photos of her wearing her engagement ring.
She wrote, “Your girl’s getting hitched!”
The couple has been together for five years.
They first met when Rachel was to join Miss World.
“I was invited to an event in CamSur and we met there. It was not a love at first sight. Sobrang hindi ko siya type at first.
“But then, the more time we spent together, I realized he really has a good heart. His heart is always in the right place and, you know, he loves his family.
“And for me, those are two important things to look for in a guy.”
Migz, who is also a model, considers himself lucky to have earned Rachel’s love and respect.
