Gilas Pilipinas Youth fell short again, losing to Argentina this time, 77-72, in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup last Sunday at the Heraklion Indoor Sports Arena in Heraklion, Greece.

Despite playing minus injured forward AJ Edu, the Nationals rallied from an 11-point deficit, 62-51, with 8:21 left to play when Dave Ildefonso, Gerry Abadiano and James Daniel Spencer joined hands that saw them pull to within 75-71 with 22 seconds left.

Gilas Youth tried for a defensive stop, but was instead forced to foul Lucas Reyes, who converted two free throws with 12 seconds remaining in the game that sealed the win for Argentina.
