CANDON CITY — Jerom Lastimosa put on a show as the Rookie-Sophomore team took down the Juniors squad, 154-150 in the RSJ game in the PBA Season 50 ArenaPlus All-Star weekend at the Candon City Arena on Friday, March 6 here.

Ahanmisi fired 30 points in the final, denying PBA all-time three-point leader Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel his own crowning moment after only finishing with 25. Juan Gomez de Liano settled for third place with 18 points.

The veteran gunner came out guns blazing in the final, nailing eight of the first 10 balls including four from the money rack on the right wing. There was no looking back for Ahanmisi from there as he surpassed Lassiter points on the fourth rack.

Ahanmisi actually rode on the momentum from his earlier victory in the obstacle challenge, besting five other players in the final.

The Dyip guard clocked 24.44s to beat TNT’s Rey Nambatac, Titan Ultra’s Fran Yu, Converge’s Juan Gomez de Liano, San Miguel’s Juami Tiongson and Blackwater’s Dalph Panopio.

Ahanmissi didn’t miss in any of the stations where he needed to do a chest pass, bounce pass, a three-pointer and a floater while evading the obstacles.

Brandon Bates of Meralco, meanwhile, displayed hidden speed, agility and ball handling to rule the obstacle challenge big man edition.

He finished the course in just 22.86s to beat Brandon Ramirez of NLEX and James Laput of Magnolia in the final. Bates defeated Blackwater’s Abu Tratter in the first round and then outran TNT’s Henry Galinato.
