Two people were killed and four others wounded in a shooting incident inside a basketball court at a condominium complex in Parañaque City on Wednesday night, March 4.
Police reported that the victims were playing basketball when a 59-year-old resident, allegedly armed with a 9mm pistol, opened fire at around 7:59 p.m. inside the Azure Residences in Barangay Marcelo Green.
According to Col. Nicolas Pinon, Parañaque City Police chief, CCTV footage showed the suspect entering the court through the main gate before suddenly shooting at the group.
The victims scattered in different directions, but two sustained critical injuries and later died.
Four others were rushed to a nearby hospital and remain in unstable condition.
After the attack, the suspect fled on foot toward SM Bicutan.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive and are working to locate and arrest the gunman. (Jean Fernando)
