For comedians Boobay and Tekla, nothing beats the magic of face-to-face laughter.
Sure, studio tapings are fun, but the real thrill happens when they’re surrounded by a live crowd ready to laugh along.
“Iba pa rin talaga yung nakakasalamuha mo ang mga tao nang personal,” Tekla shared with a grin. “Mas nakakatawa, lalo na yung mga unexpected moments!”
Boobay couldn’t agree more noting, “Nakaka-inspire yung actual mong maririnig yung reactions and feedback mula sa kanila.”
The two have been hosting “The Boobay and Tekla Show” for more than seven years now, something they admit they never expected.
What started as a late-night comedy program has turned into a long-running source of laughs for viewers.
“Siyempre, noong umpisa kasi hindi mo naman akalain na tatagal ang show ng ganito,” Boobay said, still sounding amazed by the milestone.
Tekla quickly added, “Kaya nga todo-todo rin ang pasalamat namin sa patuloy na suporta sa amin ng viewers.”
As a thank-you, the comedy duo is stepping out of the studio and into the real world with “TBATS on the Go.”
Instead of waiting for audiences to come to them, Boobay and Tekla are taking the laughs on the road.
“Literal na iikutin namin ang Pilipinas para makasalamuha kayo,” Tekla said.
Riding their colorful Laff Bus, the pair will visit malls, amusement parks, and university campuses, bringing their trademark kulitan wherever they go.
Expect spontaneous street interviews, fast-paced games, funny challenges, and feel-good stories about everyday Filipinos—with a surprise celebrity guest joining the ride.
To add to the fun, Boobay and tekla will be joined by a differeny celebrity guest in each episode.
“Siyempre sasali rin sila sa kulitan kaya abangan ninyo kung sino-sino ang mga ito,” said Boobay.
