GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Police are set to file murder charges against three suspected drug pushers who were allegedly under the influence of illegal drugs when they brutally killed a 21-year-old Agriculture student on Monday, Dec. 8, in Barangay Apopong, this city.

The victim was identified as Miyuki Kim, a 21-year-old student at Mindanao State University (MSU). She was found dead with multiple stab wounds inside her house.

Police Col. Nicomedes Olaivar, city police director, said the three suspects – Aron, Oblong, and Inday, a male – were arrested in buy-bust operations in Barangay Apopong and Barangay Tambler, this city, over the weekend.

Aron executed an extra-judicial confession saying that he served as a lookout when Oblong and Inday barged into the victim’s house and stabbed her inside her room.

Police are eyeing robbery as the possible motive of the incident.

Aron claimed that they were under the influence of illegal drugs when they committed the crime.

Authorities said the suspects are in the watchlist of personalities involved in the illegal drugs trade.

The victim’s family was taken aback by the involvement of the suspects since they are their neighbors. (Joseph Jubelag)
