Two helicopters and a private jet allegedly owned by former party-list congressman Zaldy Co—who has been implicated in anomalous multi-billion peso flood-control projects—were already out of the country, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

In a statement, CAAP Director General Raul del Rosario said the two AgustaWestland helicopters were tracked to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, while the Gulfstream aircraft is currently in Singapore.

All three aircraft departed the Philippines in August, around the time investigations into substandard and ghost flood-control projects began.

Co, accused of receiving kickbacks from these projects, has also been out of the country since the probe was launched. (Zaldy Co)
