Ibinasura ng Quezon City Prosecutor’s office ang reklamong estafa na isinampa ng GMA Network laban sa TAPE Inc. executives na producer ng “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” na umere sa GMA for some time bago nagpaalam sa ere.
Sa resolusyong inilabas nung October 8, ni Assistant City Prosecutor Kennix R. de Dios, officially dismissed ang complaint laban sa TAPE executives kabilang sina Romeo Jalosjos, Jr. , Romeo Jalosjos, Sr., Michaela Magtoto, Zenaida Buenavista, Malou Choa-Fagar at Seth Frederick “Bullet” Jalosjos.
Ayon sa resolution, “the complainant did not establish prima facie evidence of estafa under Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code.”
Dagdag pa, ang isyu raw ay “not criminal.”
Nag-ugat ang reklamo sa umano’y non-remittance ng 37.9 million pesos which the network claimed was due them under an earlier agreement.
Pero diin ng prosecutor’s offfice, ganun pa man, non-payment would amount simply to a civil breach of contract, not estafa.
