Enrique Gil is finally dipping his toes back into the dating pool—albeit a little later than fans expected.
Just a month after Liza Soberano confirmed their breakup (which, as it turns out, actually happened three years ago), the actor was spotted cozying up to actress-beauty queen Franki Russell in Bohol.
The two weren’t exactly going for “low-key.”
They didn’t avoid vacationers who asked for photos with them, and Russell herself shared a playful snorkeling video on Instagram, complete with a turtle sighting and the cheeky caption, “I like turtles.”
While she didn’t tag Gil, fans were quick to connect the dots.
Gil, now 32, has kept his personal life under wraps since his highly publicized split with Soberano. Their romance spanned eight years, both on- and off-screen, making LizQuen one of Philippine showbiz’s most beloved love teams.
The breakup remained hush-hush until August 2025, when Soberano finally set the record straight, confirming they had gone their separate ways back in 2022.
Russell, on the other hand, is no stranger to the spotlight. The Filipino-Kiwi stunner took home the Miss Cosmo New Zealand 2024 crown, earned a spot in the global Top 21, and even nabbed Best National Costume along the way.
She’s also had her fair share of buzzworthy relationships, previously dating actor Diego Loyzaga before they decided they were better off as friends.
As for Enrique and Franki? No official labels yet. But judging from the snaps, it seems Gil may finally be ready to move on from his LizQuen chapter.
