Actress Yen Santos caused minor commotion on social media featuring Chavit Singson in her latest vlog.
The two tackled some of the more persistent rumors about the film producer-businessman-politician, including speculation about the much-discussed “love child” they supposedly share.
The actress had already clarified the issue in her first vlog a month ago, saying the child often mistaken as her son with the Ilocos Sur politician is, in fact, her younger brother.
Still, for whatever reason, Yen felt the need to repeat herself in her latest video.
Why? Because in showbiz, once is never enough.
During the sit-down, Singson fielded questions about his personal life. Asked if he ever dated a celebrity, the politician firmly denied it, brushing it off as “just gossip.” He did, however, add a playful aside about his children, joking that he has “two dozen.”
Now, whether that was an exaggeration, a joke, or a soft flex, he didn’t say—leaving us to read between the lines.
In the course of their conversation, Yen explained that Manong Chavit has been a family friend for more than a decade.
“Kaya lagi tayong nai-issue. Meron pa nga daw tayong anak, ’di ba? Malaki na daw ’yung anak natin. Anak ba natin ’yon?” Yen said.
Singson’s quick reply, a curt “ewan ko sa’yo” prompted nervous laughter from Yen, who once again took the opportunity to clarify the story.
“Guys, hindi po namin ’yon anak. Kapatid ko ’yon and ninong (godfather) siya no’n,” Yen reiterated.
Though both continue to deny any romantic ties, the vlog highlights how speculation thrives in Philippine entertainment culture. After all, when a young actress and a seasoned politician appear side by side, people will always wonder if there’s more to the story—whether or not either of them says so out loud.
