DAGUPAN CITY — A seven-year-old girl reported missing on Thursday was found dead on the shoreline of Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City, early Friday morning, August 15.

The victim, identified as Portia from Asingan, was discovered without clothing by two local residents as they were preparing to go fishing.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

In a public Facebook post, family friend Mayanne Pastor-Orpilla urged the public to refrain from sharing images or videos related to the incident, especially those taken at the beach.

“This is out of respect for the grieving family, especially her mother, and to honor the dignity of our angel,” she wrote.

Pastor-Orpilla described Portia as “a bright, loving child who deserved a life full of joy and safety,” adding that the family is “devastated beyond words.”

Friends and relatives are cooperating with authorities to identify and apprehend the person responsible.

Social media posts have flagged a white Toyota Fortuner as a possible suspect vehicle.

“We will not stop until justice is served for our precious angel,” Pastor-Orpilla added.

Police have yet to release official findings as the investigation continues.
