Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Authorities foiled a major drug smuggling attempt on Wednesday, July 30, after intercepting a high-value parcel containing over five kilograms of ketamine worth P25,310,000 during an operation at a warehouse in the Clark Freeport Zone around 11:12 a.m.

The seized parcel, falsely declared as a “data cable roll,” originated from Lier, Belgium, and was addressed to a recipient in Rodriguez, Rizal.

Inside were six transparent pouches of white crystalline substance identified as ketamine—a regulated and frequently abused party drug.

No arrests were made during the operation.

Authorities submitted samples to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Laboratory for confirmatory testing.

The operation was conducted by the Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK IADITG) under PDEA Region III, with support from PNP-PRO3, PDEA Pampanga Provincial Office, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark (CAIDTF), NBI Pampanga, PNP Aviation Security Unit 3, PNP Drug Enforcement Group, and the Mabalacat City Police Station.

“This successful interdiction highlights the impact of strong inter-agency collaboration. PDEA, BOC, NBI, and the PNP stand united in protecting Central Luzon’s ports against illegal drugs,” said Police Brig. Gen. Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., director of Police Regional Office 3.

“We remain committed to our mission: Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism—guided by the core pillars of swift public service, unity within the ranks, and accountability through modernization.”
