Shot out of curiosity: Boy, 14, killed in Taguig shooting; suspect surrenders

A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed by a 16-year-old friend inside the Tuktukan cemetery in Taguig City on June 24, after the suspect allegedly fired a gun out of curiosity

According to authorities, CCTV footage captured a group of boys at the cemetery moments before one of them suddenly collapsed.

The suspect claimed that he had just come from a computer shop when he saw the victim, who was a friend.

He then pulled out a firearm and pulled the trigger to see if it would discharge. The bullet hit the victim.

The suspect reportedly threw away the gun and went home.

The victim was taken to the hospital but died on June 25.

Following an investigation, police identified the suspect as a 16-year-old boy. He surrendered to authorities. (Jonathan Hicap)
