The University of Perpetual Help Junior Altas and Letran Squires clash in the deciding Game 3 of the NCAA Season 100 Juniors Indoor Volleyball Championship at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City Sunday, June 8.
Game is set at 5 p.m. with the Las Piñas-based school determined to regain the title that has a sentimental value being the league’s centennial year.
That will be the mission of coach Sandy Rieta and his boys as they intend to make up for the failed bids of the men’s and women’s teams.
Both Perpetual and Letran are using the hunger factor as their motivation to capture the title after Mapua failed to defend its throne.
The Perpetual team took Game 1 with a score of 25-21, 29-27, 28-26, but Letran forced a rubber match with a 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 25-21 win in Game 2.
Meantime, the rematch between the CSB and Letran in the women’s division is set at 12 noon.
If stars would align, Letran would emerge the biggest winner in volleyball after its men’s team will also go for the title beginning at 2:30 p.m.
