National University-Nazareth School reaffirmed its mastery on Bacolod Tay Tung, 27-25, 16-25, 21-25, 30-28, 15-13, and reclaimed the 2025 Shakey’s Girls Volleyball Invitational League (SGVIL) Rising Stars Cup Division 1 crown Saturday, June 7, at the La Salle Green Hills Gym.

In a rematch of this year’s Palarong Pambansa secondary girls finalists, the Lady Bullpups flashed their steely nerves to overcome a 2-1 set deficit to cap another dream season.

The title win was a sort of a golden treble for the NU juniors program as it also topped the 2025 Palaro in Laoag City and UAAP Season 87.

In Ilocos Norte capital, the Lady Bullpups avenged themselves against the three-peat seeking Thunderbolts by essaying a 25-12, 25-14, 25-8 domination in front of former collegiate stars in Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos, Kyle Negrito, Alyssa Solomon and Bella Belen.

Denesse Daylisan starred for the Lady Bullpups as she listed 21 points on 18 attacks, two blocks and one ace, while Sam Cantada also registered 21 off 15 kills, three blocks, and three aces.

With their splendid efforts, Daylisan and Cantada were named as game’s MVPs of the match.

Prior to its title clinching victory, NUNS swept its preliminary assignments to notch a pristine 4-0 card in Pool D.

The Lady Bullpups dethroned the reigning champions Adamson Lady Baby Falcons, 25-13, 25-22, in the quarterfinals then disarmed the EAC Lady Brigadiers, 25-16, 25-15, 25-11, in the semifinal.

Bacolod Tay Tung, on the other hand, rolled past FEU-D and DLSL in the quarters and semis, respectively.
The Thunderbolts went perfect as well in their Pool B assignments.
