Filipina gymnast Tchelzy Mei Maayo made waves overseas after winning two golds for the Philippines in the recently concluded 2025 Singapore Open at the Bishan Sports Hall.

The 13-year-old Maayo ruled the junior 13-under all-around event where she amassed a total score of 44.966 points after her impressive performance in vault, uneven bars, beam and floor apparatus.

Hometown bets Zara Law (44.833) and Annika Sy (41.432) settled for silver and bronze honors, respectively.

Maayo’s second gold came from vault apparatus where Law and Sy were again her closest pursuers for the top honors.

Aside from her two golds, Maayo also bagged two silvers in floor exercise and balance beam.

Meanwhile, Pamela Suan took silver in balance beam (Level 6), while Safiya Schoof finished as seventh in vault of the same category.
