Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan turned emotional addressing the sustained criticism heaved against her husband, Kiko Pangilinan, who’s currently running for re-election as senator.
In a recent interview, the actress-singer deemed said denigration unfair.
She lamented, “In the Philippines, pagkaganda-ganda man ng intensyon mo, pagkaayos-ayos man ng puso mo, natatalo ka ng fake news…”
“Lies are being released against him…buti na lang may mga resibo kami para pabulaanan ang lahat ng mga kasinungalingang kanilang ikinakalat,” she added.
She would go on to sing the praise of her husband.
“I am so blessed to have a husband like Kiko. He never hurts me and he is a good father also. He might not have a lot but he would still give everything for them. At higit sa lahat, Kiko has a big heart for the Philippines at sa lahat ng mga Pilipino.”
Sharon profusely thanked those who continue to support her husband including Roselle and Keith Monteverde of Regal Entertainment, actress Iza Calzado, singer Gary Valenciano, among many others.
“Sa lahat na mga kasamahan ko sa showbiz, mga kapwa-artista ko, mga mang-aawit, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Thank you for your faith in Kiko,” she said.
