Former Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso maintained his overwhelming lead in the latest OCTA Research survey for the capital city’s top seat in the upcoming May midterm elections.
Conducted from April 20 to 23, the survey showed a 63 percent voter preference for Domagoso, far ahead of his rivals, incumbent Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna (18 percent) and Rep. Sam Versoza (16 percent).
While Lacuna gained only three percent from her previous rating of 15 percent, this is still within the margin of error of +/-3% of the OCTA Research survey.
The former mayor also led the mayoral race in all six districts of Manila.
In his campaign for a comeback, Domagoso vowed to restore cleanliness, discipline, and order in the capital city.
Calls to save the nation’s capital from deterioration, disorder, and crime pushed Domagoso to run again as the city’s chief executive, vowing to “make Manila great again.”
Domagoso also promised to vigorously clean up the capital city of trash and crimes and restore its old glory during the start of his campaign on March 28. (Patrick Garcia)
