The University of Perpetual Help Junior Altas and the Letran Squires try to arrange a grudge title rematch when they clash against their respective semis rivals in the NCAA Season 100 Junior Basketball Tournament on Monday, April 7, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre, San Juan City.

Seeking their first title in the league, the Junior Altas collide with the San Beda Red Cubs at 12 noon, while the Squires take on the La Salle Greenies at 2:30 p.m.

Both Perpetual and La Salle need only to win once in their respective semis series to advance to the Finals having secured twice-to-beat advantages for finishing 1-2 in the single round elims.

Last year, the Junior Altas were denied of their first-ever crown after losing to the Squires in a tense-filled title series, 2-1.

But coach Joph Cleopas is confident they can make up for a disappointing loss last season, saying his boys are now more matured as showed in their past games.

Out to lead the team are 6-foot-7 Lebron Jhames Daep, Jan Roluna, Jericho Cristino, JD Pagulayan and Icee Callangan.

Cleapas has challenged his boys to take each game as their final game and stay focused.

“We are halfway to our mission, so I told them to stay hungry,” said Cleopas.
