This is how residents of Quiapo described the outpouring of blessings they received from mayoralty candidate Sam Verzosa recently.
These include scholarship grants for 80 students, over 100 mobile siomai carts, and several sari-sari store packages.
Sam, who is also host of “Dear SV” on GMA, said, “Parte po ito ng ating adhikain under KKK. Ito ang Kalusugan, Kaalaman, Kabuhayan. Sa ilalim po nito, nagbibigay po tayo ng ayuda sa ating mga mahala na kababayan in terms of education, business and health.”
Note that on the same day, Sam and his team conducted free medical consultations, going on to distribute free medicines to those in need.
“Hindi na po ito bago sa akin,” he maintained. “Matagal ko na po ito ginagawa kahit noong hindi pa tayo pumapasok sa politika. Bakit? Dahil gusto ko i-pay forward ang mga blessings na binigay ni Lord sa akin.”
Note that Sam is among most successful businessmen in the country being the CEO and president of Frontrow International, a direct selling company focusing on health, beauty, and wellness.
He is currently the Tutok To Win party-list representative.
Why is he now aiming to become mayor of Manila?
“Bangkarote na po ang ating mahal na siyudad. Masayado na ho itong napabayaan ng mga namumuno satin sa napakatagal na panahon. Sa tingin ko may igaganda pa ang Manila. Pwede pa itong umasenso, umunlad. At ito po ang tututukan natin kapag tayo ay palarin na maihalal bilang mayor ng Manila.”
With Valentine’s fast approaching, we asked Sam how he is planning to spend it with his girlfriend, actress Rhian Ramos.
“Wala pa po kami specific plans for the day pero definitely wala pong byahe, dito lang po kami sa manila dahil by then mas busy na po ako sa kampanya. Malamang nga e mag-Valentine’s kami ni Rhian na umiikot sa Manila.”
