Former NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony is set to return to Manila this week for the presentation of the Naismith Trophy in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Anthony will be visiting the country anew after he was introduced as one of the global ambassadors of the FIBA World Cup last February, owing to his legacy as one of the most decorated basketball players.

The 39-year-old Anthony excitedly announced his arrival on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday.
“Heading to Manila this week to see who’s going to bring the Naismith Trophy!,” said Anthony.

After retiring, Anthony is now focused on promoting basketball in different parts of the globe.
