Former PBA player Fritz Gaston has been appointed commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission.
The appointment of many-time national team player completed the PSC Board as he joins fellow commissioners Walter Torres, Edward Hayco and Bong Coo, and chairman Richard Bachmann.
After his PBA career, Gaston, who hails from Bacolod, also served as head coach of the women’s national team.
During the previous administration, he was one of the commissioners of the Games and Amusements Board.. He is the father of Chery Tiggo volleyball player Ponggay Gaston.
